An Extended Learning Workshop
Repair Without Control
Living With the Parent-Child Relationship You Have
With Dr. Samantha Duggan
About this workshop
Some of us have already done the honest work. We've looked at what went wrong, we've apologised, we've tried to repair. And still the relationship hasn't changed in the way we hoped it would.
This workshop is about what happens then. Not how to fix the relationship, but the inner work of repair: how to carry regret, love, grief, and limits without becoming governed by them.
Samantha sits with the harder, more honest questions. How do I live with integrity if the relationship does not change? How do I hold distance without hardening or withdrawing? How do I grieve what cannot be repaired without collapsing into shame? How do I stop waiting for repair and start living forward?
The afternoon moves between short teaching sections, guided reflection, and written exercises. The focus is clarity, discernment, and internal steadiness, rather than emotional release.
What we'll explore together
- Understanding the hidden cost of waiting for repair
- Learning to hold grief without losing your self-worth
- Distinguishing healthy distance from withdrawal or avoidance
- Cultivating self-respect and consistency in adult relationships
- Navigating restraint and repair in both directions, whether you're longing for change in a child, or in your own mother or father
- Exploring how to let go of outcome without giving up on love
The workshop includes a light spiritual framing that supports humility, patience, and letting go of outcomes. You're welcome here whether or not that language is yours.
