1. About Us
Recovery Reimagined is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation based in the United States. We provide educational programs, workshops, recorded content, and community spaces focused on recovery, emotional healing, trauma-informed learning, and meaningful connection.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply when you access or use our website, learning platform, community spaces, workshops, events, recordings, or related services. By registering for, purchasing, accessing, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Nature of Our Services — Important Notice
Recovery Reimagined is an educational and peer community organization. We are not a therapy service, healthcare provider, clinical treatment program, or crisis service.
Our programs and content — including workshops, recordings, conversations, community discussions, and written materials — are provided for educational, informational, and personal growth purposes.
Nothing provided by Recovery Reimagined is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health, medical, or substance use condition, and our programs do not replace professional mental health treatment, medical advice, clinical care, or other individualized professional support.
Participation in our programs does not create a therapist-client, doctor-patient, counselor-client, or other clinical relationship with Recovery Reimagined or with any presenter, facilitator, speaker, or contributor.
You are responsible for deciding whether particular content, programs, or community activities are appropriate for you and for seeking qualified professional support when needed.
3. Mental Health & Crisis Safety
Some of the subjects discussed through Recovery Reimagined may involve addiction, trauma, family relationships, grief, mental health, and other emotionally sensitive experiences. These conversations may sometimes bring up difficult emotions, memories, or distress.
If you feel overwhelmed, unsafe, or in crisis, please seek support from a qualified professional or crisis service. Recovery Reimagined and its community spaces should not be used as a substitute for crisis intervention or emergency assistance.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
Crisis support:
- United States: Call or text 988 for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or visit 988lifeline.org
- Outside the United States: Find local crisis and emotional support services at findahelpline.com
4. Presenters, Facilitators & Contributors
Guest presenters, facilitators, speakers, and contributors participate in Recovery Reimagined programs as independent professionals or independent contributors unless specifically stated otherwise. They are not employees, agents, therapists, or healthcare providers acting on behalf of Recovery Reimagined.
Presenters share perspectives based on their own professional knowledge, lived experience, research, approaches, and opinions. Their views and approaches are their own and do not necessarily represent those of Recovery Reimagined.
We make reasonable efforts to invite thoughtful and qualified contributors, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, or suitability of every statement, recommendation, resource, or approach shared by a presenter.
You are responsible for deciding how, or whether, to apply information shared through our programs.
5. Eligibility & Your Account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or participate in our programs and community spaces unless we expressly state otherwise for a particular offering.
If you create an account, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and current information
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- Not sharing your account with another person unless we expressly permit it
- Activity that occurs through your account
Please contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect our community, enforce these Terms, address misuse of our services, or comply with legal requirements.
6. Community Standards
Recovery Reimagined community spaces are intended to support respectful conversation, learning, connection, and mutual support.
By participating, you agree to:
- Treat other members, facilitators, presenters, volunteers, and staff with dignity and respect
- Respect the privacy of other participants and not share or reproduce another person's personal disclosures outside the community without their permission
- Not post or share content that is threatening, harassing, discriminatory, abusive, exploitative, defamatory, or unlawful
- Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Not use community spaces to advertise, promote, solicit, or sell products or services without prior permission from Recovery Reimagined
- Not collect or use another participant's personal information without their permission
- Not interfere with the operation, safety, or security of our platform
While we ask participants to respect one another's privacy and confidentiality, we cannot guarantee that information shared with other participants will remain confidential. Please use discretion when deciding what personal information you share.
We may remove content, restrict participation, or suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these standards have been violated.
7. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. Prices and any applicable fees or taxes will be displayed at checkout.
Live workshops and events:
Unless different cancellation terms are clearly stated when you register, refunds for paid live workshops or events are generally available when cancellation is requested at least seven days before the event.
We understand that unexpected circumstances happen. If you need to cancel outside this period, please contact us at [email protected]. We may make exceptions at our discretion where appropriate.
If Recovery Reimagined cancels a paid event and does not provide a suitable alternative, participants will be offered a refund of the amount paid for that event.
Recordings and other digital content:
Some purchases provide immediate access to digital content, including workshop recordings, replays, videos, downloadable materials, or other on-demand resources.
By purchasing digital content that is made available for immediate access, you expressly request and consent to the immediate supply of that digital content rather than waiting for any otherwise applicable withdrawal period to expire.
By choosing to access, stream, view, or download digital content made available to you, you acknowledge that delivery of the digital content has begun and that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, you may lose any statutory right to withdraw from or cancel the purchase once access or streaming begins.
Accordingly, purchases of recordings and other digital content are generally non-refundable once the content has been accessed, streamed, viewed, or downloaded, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where Recovery Reimagined determines that a refund is appropriate.
EU/EEA consumers:
If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you may ordinarily have a statutory right to withdraw from certain online purchases within 14 days. For digital content supplied immediately, you expressly request that supply begin immediately and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal may end once you begin accessing, streaming, viewing, or downloading the digital content, to the extent permitted by applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict consumer rights that cannot legally be waived or limited.
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly or experience a payment issue, please contact us at [email protected].
8. Intellectual Property
Content made available through Recovery Reimagined — including recordings, videos, written materials, graphics, educational resources, workshop materials, website content, and other original materials — is owned by Recovery Reimagined or by presenters, contributors, or other rights holders who have authorized us to use it.
Unless we specifically state otherwise, content is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only.
You may not reproduce, record, copy, republish, upload, distribute, share, sell, publicly display, commercially use, or create derivative works from our content without prior permission from Recovery Reimagined or the applicable rights holder.
You may take personal notes and use materials for your own private learning.
9. Content You Share
You retain ownership of content that you create and share in our community spaces.
By submitting content to an area of our platform where it is intended to be shared with others, you give Recovery Reimagined a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, display, and technically process that content as reasonably necessary to operate the platform and make it available within the intended community space.
This does not give Recovery Reimagined permission to use your personal story, photograph, testimonial, or other personal contribution for advertising or promotional purposes without additional permission where permission is required.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share anything you submit and that doing so does not violate another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.
10. Live Events & Recordings
Some Recovery Reimagined workshops, presentations, conversations, and events may be recorded for educational, archival, or future viewing purposes.
When an event is being recorded, we will make reasonable efforts to notify participants. Where additional consent is required by applicable law, we will request that consent.
If you voluntarily participate by speaking, enabling your camera, or otherwise contributing during a recorded portion of an event after receiving notice that recording is taking place, your contribution may be captured in the recording.
Participants who prefer not to appear in a recording should keep their camera and microphone turned off during recorded portions of the session and use discretion when sharing identifying information.
Additional terms or consent requests may apply to particular interviews, presentations, events, or recordings.
11. Third-Party Services & Links
Our services may use or link to third-party platforms and services, including learning platforms, video conferencing services, registration systems, payment processors, email providers, and external websites.
Your use of third-party services may also be governed by the terms and privacy policies of those providers.
Recovery Reimagined is not responsible for the availability, content, security, or practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.
12. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
By using our services, you acknowledge that personal information will be handled as described in that policy and in accordance with applicable law.
13. No Guarantee of Outcomes
We work to provide thoughtful and meaningful educational programs and community experiences. However, no particular result or outcome is promised or guaranteed.
Experiences of recovery, healing, mental health, relationships, and personal growth vary from person to person. Information or approaches that may be useful to one person may not be appropriate or effective for another.
Our programs, content, and services are provided on an "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Recovery Reimagined and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from or related to your use of our programs, services, community spaces, or content.
Recovery Reimagined is not responsible for decisions or actions you take based on educational information, opinions, discussions, or resources encountered through our programs.
Where permitted by law, our total liability arising from a paid program or service will not exceed the amount you paid to Recovery Reimagined for the program or service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
If you are entitled to mandatory consumer protections under the laws of the country or jurisdiction where you live, nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of rights that cannot legally be waived.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our programs, services, organizational practices, technology, or applicable law.
When we update these Terms, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we may also provide additional notice through our website, platform, or email where appropriate.
17. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for a particular program, event, or service, govern your use of Recovery Reimagined services.
